SBRnet content is organized into seven different sections, each of which is explained below.

I. SECTION HEADING: SPORT-BY-SPORT LISTINGS

If you want to focus on a specific sport, or on a category such as “Women’s Sports” or “Youth Sports,” click on that sport or category. Each page is divided into three columns, containing all or some of the following information:

A. Column Heading: Market Research:

1. Consumer Expenditures (Market Size)

This menu includes a series of tables that provide the following information for that product since 1993 (Some sports have been measured annually, others every other year):
        (a) Demographics, (age, education, gender, region, and household income)
        (b) Brand Share for leading brands
        (c) Distribution patterns by outlet type, separately for unit and dollar purchases
        (c) Consumer purchases by price point
        (e) Total Market (in units and dollars)
The "Base" for each table appears at the bottom of the table. It is the figure upon which the percentages are based.

2. Participation

Participation information for a sport includes a series of tables reporting on the total number of participants vs. the number of frequent participants; participation by demographics (age, education, gender, geographic region, market size, age/presence of children, and for more popular sports, by state). Most tables contain information since 1993. Some sports have been measured annually, others every other year. The "Base" for all of these tables is the total number of participants for the market.

Intercollegiate and Interscholastic (high school) participation are also reported. These tables show the number of schools sponsoring the sport and the number of athletes participating.

3. Attendance

For each sport measured {baseball, basketball (separately for professional and collegiate), bowling, boxing, fishing, football (separately for professional and collegiate), golf, horse racing, ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, motorsports, rodeo, soccer, tennis and wrestling} information includes
• Total number attending
• Demographic profiles of attendees (Age, Gender, Income, Region)

Total paid attendance data is also provided for baseball, basketball, football, ice hockey and soccer, as well as for NCAA basketball and football. This information may be accessed by click on the appropriate sport in the "Single-Sport" section.

4. TV Viewership
